Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of LedgerIz ("the Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including access you grant to employees, accountants, or other collaborators in your workspace.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

LedgerIz is offered as two paid plans: LedgerIz Core (accounting, sales and purchases) and LedgerIz Plus (Core plus inventory and manufacturing). Plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor (Stripe). There is no free trial. A promotional discount currently reduces the price for the first three months, after which the regular monthly price applies.

Subscriptions are tied to a specific workspace, and paid features unlock only while that workspace's subscription is verified as active. If a payment fails or the subscription becomes past due, unpaid, incomplete or canceled, paid features are locked until the subscription is active again; your data remains in your workspace. You can manage or cancel your subscription from Settings → Billing, which opens the payment processor's billing portal. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

3. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all accounting records, documents, and other content you enter into the Service. You grant us only the limited rights needed to host and display that content to you and your authorized users. You can download a complete copy of your workspace data as a JSON backup file at any time from Settings → General.

4. Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the Service. You agree not to engage in unlawful activity, attempt unauthorized access to other customers' data, interfere with or probe our infrastructure, or resell/redistribute the Service without prior written permission.

5. Not Professional Advice

LedgerIz is bookkeeping software, not an accountant, auditor, tax adviser, or legal counsel. Reports, tax figures, financial statements, and valuations are generated automatically based strictly on the data you enter and are provided solely for your internal review. You remain strictly responsible for the accuracy of your books and for your official tax filings. Confirm all material decisions with a qualified professional.

6. Availability and Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice of material adverse changes to paid functionality.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create legal, operational, or security risks.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is strictly limited to the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or via email. The date above reflects the current active version.
